Pure Pig Breeds and Proven Hybrids
We only breed and sell pure breeds and selected as well as proven hybrids only.Our hybrids are crossess from Pure Breed parents and are bred for specific purposes such as meat (high feed rate conversion) as well as good parenting traits such as high litter and good parenting.We have Durocs,Pietrain,Large white,Land Race as well as Dupi and Camborough
1.Pietrain
This Breed originates from France.The main purpose of this breed is meat production.It has a high food conversion rate into meat and growa fast.Males jave high libido and can mate faster and on multiple occasions.Males can reach up to 250kgs
2.Duroc
Duroc is an american brees,its specifically kept for meat as it grows fast and has high meat yeald,properly fed,can reach 100 kgs plus in 7 months.Boars are good as cross boars,but females are not good parents and most dont have a high litter yield.Their meat is very good because it contains less fat layers.They are among the high selling breeds in Tanzania
3.Large White
These are the best parental line.They are good mothers by having a huge litter size (12-18) and have good mothering abilities thus ensuring piglets survival and weaning.They also grow fast but have a high fat content in theor meat.We use Large white females for crosing with land race and get a hybrid called camborough.Large white is British breed (specifically from Yorkshire)
4.Land Race
Land race are a long bodied pigs,they have very good paremting abilities and high fertility rates,their meat is good also because its lean.They are like durocs a good comercial meat breed.They originate from Denmark
5.Dupi
This is a cross between Duroc and Pietrain hence Dupi.They are very good for commercial meat as they have traits from both Duroc and Pietrain i.e Fast growth,lean meat and high feed conversion.Further they have a high tolerance as comapared to pure breeds.Their prices is also low compared to either pure Duroc or Pietrain
